Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Audicap Chrome extension and related services ("Service") operated by Audicap ("we", "our", or "us").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

2. Description of Service

Audicap is a Chrome browser extension that captures and transcribes audio playing in browser tabs in real-time. The Service offers:

• Local Mode: Free, on-device transcription using your computer's processing power
• Online Mode: Cloud-based transcription with enhanced accuracy and multi-language support

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you may need to create an account using Google Sign-In. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Credits and Payments

4.1 Credit System

• Online Mode requires credits to use
• New users receive 10 free credits upon registration
• Additional credits can be purchased through our Service
• Credits are consumed based on transcription duration (1 credit per minute)

4.2 Credit Expiration

• Purchased credits expire 30 days after purchase
• Credits are consumed in order of expiration date (earliest first)
• Expired credits cannot be refunded or restored

4.3 Payments and Refunds

• All payments are processed securely through Paddle
• Prices are displayed in your local currency
• Refunds may be requested within 7 days of purchase for unused credits
• We reserve the right to refuse refunds in cases of suspected abuse

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
• Transcribe content without proper authorization
• Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the Service
• Abuse the credit system or exploit bugs
• Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
• Use automated systems to access the Service excessively

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

Your transcriptions remain your property. We do not claim ownership over content you create using the Service.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:

• 100% accuracy of transcriptions
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Compatibility with all websites or audio sources
• Availability of the Service at all times

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
• Errors or inaccuracies in transcriptions
• Service interruptions or downtime

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service immediately ceases
• Unused credits may be forfeited
• Your locally stored data remains on your device

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via the Service or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
